From a Notebook Lost: The Same and The Other 35

by mudrhetoric

An utterance escapes from my lips and even words start to form. “Heed ye the warning! Go on and go on. To your said point, purpose, meaning, essence, existence. Stop if you must on your said journey and exodus. For perhaps hunger or thirst shall cause you to falter. Or becoming tired and exhausted will make you stumble. But start once again from the beginning to reach the end. The end of whatever you are going or becoming for. Be not as such to just create beginnings, but be as one who goes to an end. So if and when ye stop, mark your place so ye know where you go after you wish to stop no longer. So ye not start over, but instead start where you stopped and go on your path to the end. But an end differs for all. Some an end will be the beginning. For some the end will be the middle. Even some the end will be and end. But even those who end an end that could be a beginning, middle, or end. So go to your end, for mine end lies elsewhere than yours, and yours lies elsewhere than mine. But as long as we end that be the point, purpose, meaning, the end. But you must start at a beginning. Each of us has a different beginning. For one a beginning at a beginning. For some a beginning at a middle. Even some beginning at and end. But even those who begin at a beginning that could be an end, middle, or beginning. So go to your beginning, for mine lies elsewhere than yours, and yours lies elsewhere than mine. But to reach an end we must start a beginning. Heed ye the warning! If ye start not, ye finish not, but finish not where ye started! So go one way or the other and I will go one way or the other to reach an end. So go on and go on, and I will go on and on until mine end and you until your end.”
